Plan before you go
- Reserve campsites on the Parks Canada reservation system as soon as bookings open — popular dates sell out quickly.
- A Parks Canada pass is required for national park entry.
- Winter tires or chains are required on parts of the Icefields Parkway in winter — check Parks Canada for current dates.
- Best season to visit: June–September.
