📘 Before You Rent
Questions to ask any rental company
- Read the contract before you pay. Check the kilometre allowance, the fuel and propane policy, the deposit and the cancellation terms.
- Ask about one-way rentals. Picking up in one city and dropping off in another usually costs extra.
- Cross-border trips need permission. If you plan to enter the United States, confirm the rental agreement allows it.
- Check the season. Summer dates book out months ahead, and some companies reduce their fleet or hours in winter.
- Inspect and photograph the RV at pickup. Note any damage, and ask for a walk-through of the hookups, slides and propane.
- Confirm what is included. Bedding, kitchen gear, generator hours and campsite hookups are often extras.
