📘 Booking Tips
Before you reserve
- Book early. Parks Canada and many provincial parks open reservations months ahead, and popular sites and long weekends sell out first.
- Create your account first. Set up your account and save your preferences before booking day.
- Know the system. Many provinces use a separate reservation system from Parks Canada, and some campgrounds are first-come, first-served only.
- Check services. Many park campsites are unserviced or have electricity only — check each campground’s details against your RV’s length and power needs.
- Check stay limits and fire bans. Maximum stays and campfire rules vary by park and change with conditions.
- Mind the season. Many campgrounds open in May and close in September or October; confirm dates before you drive.
Data sources. National park campsite counts and locations are adapted from Parks Canada’s Accommodation open dataset (Government of Canada). Availability and site types change, so confirm with Parks Canada. Some listings are adapted from OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors, licensed ODbL). We kept campgrounds that show RV facilities and contact details, grouped them by area and wrote short descriptions; details may be out of date, so confirm with the campground. Quebec listings are adapted from Campings – Système d’information touristique Québec (SIT Québec), Ministère du Tourisme du Québec, licensed CC BY 4.0. We reformatted names, added short descriptions and grouped the listings. Only campgrounds the data shows with RV facilities (electrical hookups, a dump station or RV sites) are included. Registration status and details can change, so confirm with the campground.
